How to prepare for body waxing:
- Please do not engage in any sport activities that cause you to sweat or irritate your skin 3 hours before your wax. So no swimming, cycling, hot tubs or exercise.
- Please do not drink caffeinated drinks 3 hours before your appointment as this makes the skin more sensitive.
- Please do not trim or shave the area to be waxed.
- If you have already trimmed or shaved, please wait at least 3 weeks before booking in for a wax as the hair must be at least 1cm long to be waxed.
How to care for your skin after waxing:
- Bring a clean shirt with you to change into after your wax.
- Please do not shower for 24 hours after your wax treatment (your first shower should not be very hot, this is to avoid any irritation as waxing also exfoliates your skin, leaving it vulnerable for the first 1-2 days.)
- Avoid applying perfume or deodorant to the treated area for at least 24 hours.
- Avoid any activities that cause excessive sweating or skin irritation for 48 hours.
- We advise waiting at least 5 weeks between waxing appointments.
- Exfoliate once a week with exfoliation gloves or sponges and apply the hydrating cream provided 1-2 times a week to avoid dry skin and ingrown hairs.
